Event 8

The Municipality of Sarmede hosted the event "THE EUROPE WE WANT" of the Green Youth project in Sarmede, which focused on The Green Youth Proposals for the European Climate Pact.

 

On Tuesday, September 23rd, the activities began at Zavrel Museum. The day started with a workshop and interviews to analyze the work done during the project implementation and

express with an interview to a representative of each Country the youth proposals/best

practices to be included in the European Climate Pact. The morning continued with a tour of the frescoes of Sarmede. The afternoon featured a visit to the FEEDUCIA farm which practices regenerative agriculture and the participants learned about the farm philosophy and had practical activities such as digging ditches and planting a tree.

On Wednesday, September 24th, the activities began at the Theatre with the final conference event: THE EUROPE WE WANT. The conference started with a welcome address and testimonial by the Sarmede GREEN YOUTH Group followed by Ketty Gallon, Italian representative of the international exchange program “GEMS Global Ambassadorsi“, and Silvia Gasparetto, Art and image teacher at the Istituto Comprensivo di Cappella Maggiore. The conference continued with Luca Mercalli, Climatologist, president of the Italian Meteorological Society, editor of Nimbus magazine, science journalist for RAI, and Il Fatto Quotidiano, Climate Pact Ambassador of the European Union. The afternoon activities took place at City Hall - Council Chamber or Exhibition Hall with networking groups for sustainable cooperation - Lighting Decision Jam Session and then with a workshop with the artist Elisabetta Trevisan working with clay.
