2nd International Event

On June 6th and 7th, Krsko (Slovenia) hosted the second international event of the CERV project SOLIDARITOWN, a European project focusing on Christmas and solidarity initiatives. Representatives from cities across Europe shared best practices, from Christmas markets to sustainability efforts.

During the 2 days event, there were organized presentations, group discussions and a round table on the topic of solidarity of small towns through the Christmas markets and women inclusion. Moreover, participants enjoyed a guided tour at Rajhenburg Castle and assisted a Podcast with the local TV on the topic of human rights.

During the first morning of the event the participants attended presentations on the topic of solidarity and civic participation in small towns and a group discussion about current and past practices of celebrating Christmas. In the afternoon, they had a creative city-talk in the Krsko old center, interviewing locals.

Second day started with a presentation about European citizenship and human rights, which continued with a round table with different political actors about Social responsibility and human rights. During the afternoon the participants enjoyed a guided tour at the Rajhenburg Castle and a Social Media Lab Marathon with Podcasts with a local TV.
