EducPro proudly participated in the 6th International Meeting of the Solidaritown project, held in Genoa from March 12-15, 2025. The event, centred around “European Solidarity, Sustainable Tourism, and Multicultural Cooperation,” brought together representatives from eight European countries to discuss pressing issues related to civic engagement, sustainable tourism, and social inclusion.

The meeting provided a platform for in-depth discussions on best practices and innovative ideas for fostering solidarity across communities, with a particular focus on how tourism can contribute to social development and cultural preservation. Participants engaged in thought-provoking round tables, exploring a variety of topics including the promotion of local heritage, integration strategies, and the importance of collaborative networks for social cohesion.

One of the highlights of the event was a cultural tour of Genoa, which offered delegates the chance to explore the city’s rich history, including its iconic museums, historic villas, and the Pesto Experience, which gave a unique taste of the city’s culinary traditions. The event also provided an opportunity for the cities involved to share their experiences and plan future initiatives, with new collaborations set to focus on rural development, cultural tourism, and the promotion of positive European values.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to building a stronger network of cities across Europe, ensuring that the spirit of solidarity and cooperation continues to grow, bringing tangible benefits to communities and strengthening the European project.
