Bucharest, Romania
Event 1
The 9th of April marked the first in-person international event of the Green Cities โ Active Cities project, co-funded by the CERV Programme of the European Commission, bringing the EducPro team to Bucharest.
The meeting's main theme gravitated around Sustainable tourism and how citizensโ engagement can ensure sustainable tourism policies at the local level. The representatives from Spain, Hungary, Portugal, Cyprus, Slovenia and Greece, hosted by the National Union of County Councils of Romania shared examples of good practices and successful initiatives from each country in the area of green tourism. The group had the opportunity to witness a stunning example from Romania, Casa Timis, which was the main venue for the event. The agenda was complemented by some interactive activities that allowed us to identify and enjoy the richness of this location, while acknowledging the sustainable aspects as well.
This event has brought added value to this initiative, as all the partners present established stronger connections and felt motivated to continue their active involvement in building a greener, more active Europe!
