The Hungarian National Association of Local Authorities - TÖOSZ organized the 1st international event, called “The impact of the Maastricht Treaty and European citizenship on local authorities” in Budapest on 21 February 2024. The aim of the event was the impact of the Maastricht Treaty on local and regional policy-making - involvement of mobile EU citizens, information provided to citizens migrating to other countries. 

In addition, each partner introduced themselves, as this was the first event, and we had the opportunity to hear the project coordinator talk about the project's objectives and next steps. Finally, we had a guided tour of the city of Budapest.

Special thanks to the Municipality of Vizela, which through its Youth Councillor Nuno Faria and the technical team of the youth department accepted the challenge of joining us in the development of this project.
