Event 4

As part of the Act Green – Active Cities, Green Cities project, EducPro joined an international workshop held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where municipalities, experts, and civil society organisations from across Europe gathered to explore the future of green infrastructure in urban areas.

The workshop brought together inspiring examples from the Urban Municipality of Ljubljana, partners from Slovenia, and representatives from Cyprus, each showcasing practical projects that integrate nature into cities. From innovative approaches to green mobility to nature-based solutions that enhance climate resilience, the event highlighted how urban environments across Europe are evolving to become more sustainable and citizen-friendly.

Participants also took part in a dynamic discussion on a riverboat, exchanging insights on best practices, citizen engagement, and the role of local authorities in the green transition. The programme included a visit to selected green infrastructure sites in Ljubljana, offering participants the opportunity to see real-life implementations of successful projects.

Representing Portugal, EducPro shared the experience of Braga, presenting the city’s ongoing efforts in sustainable mobility, the creation and revitalisation of green spaces, and initiatives encouraging citizen participation in shaping a more environmentally conscious urban landscape.

The workshop concluded with an informal networking moment among partners, strengthening cooperation and reinforcing the shared commitment to building greener, healthier, and more resilient cities across Europe.
