Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity

Between 19 and 25 May 2026, EducAI hosted in Braga the first Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) of the Erasmus+ project ESCAP(E+) – Educate Youth in Security through Cyber Awareness Program and Engagement.

The activity brought together 18 youth workers from six European countries, representing the partner organisations EducPro Spain (Spain), Scout Society (Romania), IUC Turkey (Türkiye), EuroReach (Estonia), SuTAS Project Academy (Lithuania), and EducAI (Portugal). Each organisation participated with three youth workers.

During the week, participants explored the impact of digital threats on young people and discussed practical ways to promote safer online behaviours through youth work. Topics such as phishing, identity theft, fake profiles, misinformation, deepfakes, and cybersecurity awareness were addressed through interactive and non-formal education methods.

A central part of the programme focused on the development of educational escape room concepts connected to online safety and cyber awareness. Working in international teams, participants designed scenarios, challenges, and learning pathways that will later be transformed into immersive VR escape room experiences within the project. The activity encouraged creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving while introducing innovative educational approaches that can be adapted to local youth contexts.

Alongside the training sessions, the LTTA also created opportunities for intercultural exchange and the sharing of experiences between organisations working in the fields of youth participation, digital education, and innovation. Participants reflected on the growing importance of digital resilience and the role youth workers play in helping young people navigate online spaces safely and critically.

The ESCAP(E+) project continues to promote innovative tools and methodologies that combine cybersecurity education, digital skills, and gamified learning to better engage young people across Europe.
