From 15 to 18 June 2026, EducPro participated in the international meeting of the project ZA4NED – Generation Z & Alpha in the Driver’s Seat for Youth Participation and European Democracy, held in Niš, Serbia. The event was organised under Work Package 2: Beyond Voting – New Forms of Civic Engagement, bringing together youth organisations, experts, and stakeholders from across Europe to explore innovative approaches to civic participation.

During the meeting, participants took part in a series of interactive workshops and discussions focused on digital activism, youth engagement, and democratic participation in the digital age. Activities included the Influencer Democracy Challenge, the Virtual Advocacy Bootcamp, and the Hashtag to Action Workshop, all designed to equip young people with practical tools to promote social change and engage with decision-makers through digital platforms.

The programme also featured a roundtable discussion with representatives of the Municipality of Medijana, where participants exchanged ideas on how local authorities can better integrate digital forms of civic engagement into formal democratic processes. Additional activities included a digital campaign simulation and the Memes for Change Competition, highlighting the role of creativity and social media in raising awareness about important social and political issues.

EducPro’s participation provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices with European partners, while strengthening its commitment to promoting active citizenship, youth participation, and democratic values.

The ZA4NED project is funded by the European Union and aims to empower Generations Z and Alpha to become active contributors to democratic life by exploring new and innovative forms of civic engagement adapted to today's digital society.
